Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and QuizCademy ("QuizCademy," "we," "us") governing your access to and use of our websites, applications, and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are agreeing on behalf of a child, you do so as their parent or legal guardian.

1. Who may use the Service

The Service is intended for use by students together with a parent or guardian, and by educators we work with. A parent or guardian must create and manage accounts for students under 18 and is responsible for their use of the Service. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Job applicants who take an online interview are covered by section 8.

2. Accounts

You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it current. Parents may create and manage student profiles linked to their account. You may not share your account, use another person's account, or create an account on behalf of someone without their permission.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Membership is offered on a monthly subscription. Promotional pricing, where offered, applies for the stated period and renews at the standard rate unless cancelled. Optional live coaching is billed separately by the hour. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for the fees that apply to your plan.

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, and access continues through the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

• Break the law or infringe the rights of others;
• Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access;
• Disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the Service;
• Upload harmful code, or scrape or copy content except as expressly permitted; or
• Use the Service to harass, harm, or exploit any person, especially a minor.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit, such as answers, uploads, and messages. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service. You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the rights to share it.

6. Our content

The Service, including its questions, lessons, software, and branding, is owned by QuizCademy or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service for its intended educational purpose. You may not resell or redistribute our content.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information, and our Children's Privacy notice describes our commitments for students under 13. By using the Service you agree to those practices.

8. Job applicants and online interviews

If you apply for a role with QuizCademy and take our online interview, these additional terms apply to you.

• Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old. By starting the interview you confirm that you are.
• Recording and monitoring. You consent to us recording your video and audio, capturing your answers and code, and monitoring activity such as tab and window changes, copy and paste, and camera or microphone status, as described in our Privacy Policy. This is a condition of taking the interview. You are responsible for making sure anyone who may appear or be heard in your recording is aware of it and does not object; do not take the interview where others' private information may be captured.
• Honest, unaided work. Complete the interview yourself. You will not get help from another person, use AI tools or other assistance we haven't allowed, impersonate anyone, share or record the questions, screen-capture or copy them, or share your interview link. Your link is personal to you.
• Consequences. We may end an interview, disqualify an application, or withdraw an offer if we believe these terms have been broken, and we alone decide how to weigh what the interview records.
• Your interview content. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, review, reproduce, and share internally the content of your interview, including recordings, answers, and code, to evaluate your application, keep hiring records, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. You keep ownership of your answers.
• Our questions. Interview questions and materials are confidential and owned by QuizCademy. You may not copy, publish, or distribute them.
• Running code. Any code you run in the interview runs in your own browser. You are responsible for it, and we are not liable for any effect it has on your device.
• No commitment. Taking an interview does not create an employment relationship or promise an offer, and we may pause or end a hiring process at any time.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It is an educational tool and is not a substitute for professional or academic advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuizCademy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
